Welcome to Non La

Our name “Non La”, is a Vietnamese word for “Straw Hat”. This simple style of hat originated in East and Southeast Asia, particularly in Vietnam, China, and Japan. It has a conical shape and is secured by a cloth (often silk) chin strap. Conical hats are used primarily as protection from the sun and rain. Because of its distinctive shape, it is used often in the depiction of East Asians.

“Non La” is a symbol of authenticity, which is the same way we want you to experience our food. When you are with us, we will make sure the best service and food will be provided to keep you as our loyal customers. Our goal is to make your dining experience enjoyable and memorable. Thank you for visiting and come see us more often!

Coconut Milk (Nuoc Cot Dua)
A thick coconut milk can be made for cooking by mixing grated coconut flesh with warm water, and extracting two pressings. The first pressing is rich and creamy, and can curdle if cooked on high heat. The second pressing is much thinner and imparts far less flavor. Canned coconut milk is now widely available.
